Rehabilitation
Aftertreatment and Rehabilitation
Of course, specific and targeted follow-up treatment is necessary after every operation in order to achieve the best possible results.
Rehabilitation is an important part of your recovery. Right after surgery, physiotherapy begins directly in the hospital. You’ll start moving on the ward and gradually regain your mobility — step by step, even before discharge.
In the early postoperative phase, you will follow a personalized physiotherapy program tailored to your specific needs. Most patients are fit to travel home between the 10th and 14th day after surgery.
After less complex procedures (such as cervical or lumbar disc replacement), continuing the exercises learned in the hospital is usually sufficient to support your recovery at home.
For more complex spine surgeries or joint replacements, we recommend follow-up treatment at a specialized rehabilitation facility. We’ll be happy to assist you in choosing the right clinic.
These rehab programs address not only mobility and musculoskeletal function, but also cardiovascular health, mental well-being, and practical knowledge about your condition.
